With what I'm doing with college, the text book says I am doing the exact opposite of what I'm suppose to do. You are suppose to be able to wake up at 6:00 am and bet the 1 point favors with heavy confidence that the line will move another point or more. In the afternoon you can then bet the other side of the line. Some of these line just don't look right to me. Curiosity has gotten the best of me. Had to throw a few bucks on these plays.

If you haven’t booked your room for the Kentucky Derby, boy are you in for some sticker shock. Still a small ray of hope for the Preakness. With the exception of the Mount Vernon Hotel for $144 per night. Downtown is now all over $350 a night. Mont Vernon is an extremely nice neighborhood that is within walking distance of the Inner Harbor, Charles Village, and of course Mount Vernon. Your other cheap choice is the Holiday Inn Select Baltimore North (Hunt Valley). This is outside the city, but right on the train line (8 minutes to Downtown for about $3.00 per person). Hit the bottom on my right hand side for great Hotel deals. Hopefully they can still set you up for $127 per night

Still Kicking Ass
The only issue now is with my 4 game parlay. We won the bet with Detroit straight up, but at the time I finally picked the parlay the line moved 1/2 a point on the Illinois State Game and the Detroit Game depending on the book I was looking at. We had a choice to lose 1/2 a point on Illinois and wager with Nine, or lose 1/2 on Detroit and wager with Intertops. I chose the wrong option. If you bet a four game parlay and win on 3 but push on the forth, it pays the amount of a three game parlay. Instead of over a 1,000 We may end up winning under 500 on the parlay. We are till undefeated on our straight single action plays today. Sure wish I proved my point that I do my own handicapping by doing my usual picking 4:00a.m. The early bird does get the worm.

On the surface this sounds like a 50/50 chance
but
You never have more even number horses on the program than odd number horses.
You can have more odd number horse on the program than even number horses. (If there are 12 horses it's 6 and 6, if there are 11 horse the odds out number the even, if there are 13 horses the odds out number the even).
In most races. Although I do believe the Kentucky derby is an exception - not sure though. If two horse are own by the same person. The horses are numbered 1 and 1A. Giving the odds one more horse.

Won the Charlotte Bobcat NBA game. A true work of art by the casinos. The line starts at 10 and moves to 11 1/2. As it became less favorable to bet the Bobcats,the money started piling onto the Bobcats. Vegas made a killing on that game. Same goes for the LA Lakers and Memphis Grizzles. Same goes for The Golden State vs the Cleveland game.
I question the accuracy on the money pools, but they are available with SportBook, my newest one available to you. A small warning. Racebook and SportBook seem extradenarly similar to each other. Racebook owes me nothing more, but they did mouth off to me so I got rid of them. On a different note Nine and MyBookie appears to be the same company. No better compliment can be said about MyBookie. I will talk to them about it. In the past I was in a similar situation with two Bookies own by the same company. This was before the internet. With the if the phone lines crashed on either one. You were allow to temporally place bets with the other Bookie without any money transfers - this worked out great. We will see with MyBookie though.

Update Charlotte Game
Charlotte has 47% of the money being bet on them in the Vegas Casino and Milwakee has 53% of the money play on their side of the line.

Nevada sports books won $8.8 of $94.5 million; Steelers parlays hurt many....
It went on to say the books made money because of all the idiots betting the under.
Despite the Steelers being the number one choice the books stilled made 10%. Now if the pay out 100 for every 210 place (assuming an even split of 110 on each side). Then the books should be making 5%. Instead they pulled in closer to 10%. Last year they pulled in nearly 20%.
Back to what I said in an old post. The purpose of the line is to maximize profits by placing the majority on the wrong side of the line. With every game there is a strong disposition as to how a person will bet. The position a person will take does not change with a few points of the spread. So why make the spread fair? The goal of the spread is not to split the bettors down the center. It to put the largest pile of predispositions on one side of the line and the smallest on the other.
Read the head line from the local papers, go to the bars, talk to the morons, and use some common sense judgment calls on how the money will flow. If you can predict which side of the line the majority will bet no matter what the spread. You can predict which side of the line the Star Dust Hotel and Casino is hoping will win.
There are some other things to consider. Lets say there are 9 basketball games playing. There is 1 in over 500 chance that every underdog will cover, a 1 in over 500 chance that every favorite will cover, a 1 in 500 chance that every point under will cover, a 1 in 500 chance that every point over will cover. I say there is a 100% chance that everyone of these will happen during the basketball season. It is in the vested interest of the book for this to happen. Because this would mean wiping out those who bet with a strong predisposition towards each particular situation. If you wipe out everyone, you have all the money. The books play the way a good poker player plays. You win when other people lose. Create the loser one at a time and eventual the money will flow your way.
With that being said. I probably picked the losers today (: I'm till standing behind my methods though.
